About the Lakeway Community
As its name implies, Lakeway is a town of about 15,000 people built around the waters of popular Lake Travis. The lake is definitely a central focus: of the town’s 12 square miles, 13 percent is water! Home to over 100 neighborhoods, Lakeway has seen booming growth since the mid-nineties and is one of the area’s most popular regions. Given its relative youth, most homes are newer or even new construction, and many quality builders can be found in the area. (Your Regent Property Group agent can help you find the ideal new construction neighborhood and builder.)
A little over 20 miles from downtown Austin, the area surrounding Lakeway is bustling. West of RR 620, northwest of Bee Cave, and to the west of Highway 71, Lakeway’s northern border is Lake Travis. Luxury homes in Lakeway often are lakefront or golf course homes and can range up into the several millions. Larger neighborhoods in Lakeway include Apache Shores, the Preserve at Lakeway, Reserve at Hudson Bend, and Flintrock.
