Renovations Begin at Hotel Granduca Austin
Renovations are underway at Hotel Granduca Austin, a luxury hotel in the Austin hill country area along South Capital of Texas Highway. Renovations include a new spa, a complete overhaul of the signature restaurant and bar, and a renovated pool deck and lobby. Designed as a “palazzo villa,” the hotel offers guests “the best of Austin’s natural abundance without sacrificing convenience,” according to a release. Pacific Hospitality Group says the hotel will remain open during renovations, which will be completed this fall.
“The renovations we bring to Hotel Granduca Austin will not only enhance the beautiful retreat that has served guests the past seven years, but will also pay homage to the slow life and spirit of Italy,” said Hotel Granduca General Manager David Putnicki. “We want the hotel to be an escape from the hustle and bustle of Austin, a retreat for guests from across the country, and a place for them to relax and recharge, if only for the day at our new spa or while enjoying a glass of wine and dinner at the restaurant. Once our renovations are complete, Hotel Granduca will give a sense of ‘la dolce vita’ for anyone visiting.”
The pool renovation will include a fireplace and cabanas. The spa will offer massages, facials, a relaxation lounge, men’s and women’s locker rooms and steam rooms, and a sauna. “The eight treatment room facility will include a designated couple’s suite as well as a private spa suite complete with experiential shower and hydrotherapy tub.” The new restaurant “will be an Italian-inspired gathering place devoted to celebrating what it means to be free-spirited in Texas” and will offer “one of the best views in Austin to enjoy while dining.”
