High-end Neighborhood Planned for Leander

Homebuilder Toll Brothers received initial approval in September 2021 from the Leander City Council to rezone a 112-acre site in Leander for single-family home construction, according to a report in the Austin Business Journal. If it receives final approval later in the month, the community northwest of County Roads 175 and 177 ultimately would offer 330 single-family homes. Homes on 50-foot lots would have 1,900 to 2,800 square feet and tentatively be priced to start at $600,000, and homes on 60-foot lots would have 2,650 to 3,600 square feet and tentatively be priced to start at $805,000. The community is likely to include an amenity center and an outdoor pool and be similar in style to other Toll Brothers communities such as Travisso. About 27 percent of the land would be left as open space. The initial approval also included annexing the land.
