Eanes ISD Approves “Thought Breaks” for Teachers

The Eanes Independent School District approved a series of staff “Thought Breaks” for the remaining 2020-21 calendar. These breaks were added for “mental health and planning” and based on the recommendation of the District Leadership Team following staff requests.

Most of the breaks will be blocks of two back-to-back early-release days. This will apply to all grades/levels and equals eight additional early-release days. Secondary school teachers will be able to teach periods one through four on the first day and then five through eight on the next day. “Personal workdays” or “no new instruction days” – that allow students to receive assistance in specific subjects without added classwork – will remain in place for grades six through 12.

School still ends before Memorial Day. See the revised student calendar at https://www.eanesisd.net/.
