Texas Named Business Facilities’ 2019 State of the Year

Business Facilities named Texas its 2019 State of the Year, making Texas the first state to win the honor four times. Texas’ “dominance of the economic development landscape” resulted in top 10 results in 15 categories and #1 results in Installed Wind Power Capacity, FTZ Activity (Imports and Exports), and Cybersecurity Growth Potential.
The report cited “a bonanza of new investments in projects creating thousands of new jobs in a diverse group of growth sectors throughout the Lone Star State.” The award is based on top capital investment projects for 2019, job creation, and economic development growth strategy.
