Luxury Commodore Perry Estate to Open Spring 2020

Auberge Resorts Collection announced it will open the central Austin urban retreat Commodore Perry Estate this Spring 2020. According to Auberge, “the resort will bring a new level of contemporary glamour, whimsical soul and effortless luxury representative of Austin’s uniqueness.”

The resort is set on 10 acres and will offer 42 rooms, 12 suites, an organic urban farm, a signature garden restaurant, a members’ club, and an outdoor swimming pool.

Commodore Perry Estate was built in the Jazz Age in 1928 as a 10,800-square-foot Italianate mansion. Owner Edgar Perry was known for his Gatsby-esque soirées on the property, which is just north of The University of Texas at Austin in the historic neighborhood of Hancock. The estate is surrounded by expansive grounds, lush green English gardens, spring-fed Waller Creek, and a stone wall enclosing the property.
