Find health and wellness anew at the redesigned Lake Austin Spa Resort, on the banks of Lake Austin in the Texas Hill Country. With select updated accommodations and fresh resort offerings, this world-renowned facility has even more to offer those who seek the “sanctuary of a world-class spa” coupled with “the warmth of a best friend’s lake house.”
Fourteen of the Luxury Lakeview rooms were redesigned to create a restful ambiance reflecting the calm waters of Lake Austin. Co-owner Mike McAdams spent months on the project, pairing with Julio Quinones, recognized as one of
Metropolitan Home Magazine’s World’s Best Young Talents and named one of Dallas’ Best Designers by
D Home magazine.

“I envisioned a space that marries elements of the Texas Hill Country with the detail of a European dressmaker,” said McAdams. “Ultimately, these rooms are designed to evoke a mood; when people walk through the door, they can’t help but smile and breathe a little deeper.”
The rooms, which offer unobstructed views of the lake and are the closest accommodations to LakeHouse Spa, feature original, commissioned artwork of nature-inspired scenes by Curator of Education at the Meadows Museum at Southern Methodist University Scott Winterrowd. The rooms feature retractable awnings and Brown Jordan furnishings on the patio, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the lake view.
The dining room also was refreshed, with new décor to enhance the lakefront dining experience. While the dining room food is delectable, bodies can receive their own bountiful treat with delicious new spa treatments, such as a Nourishing Avocado Sea Mud Masque, Lakeshore Fig Scrub, or Blueberry Restorative Facial. The resort's “Adventures in Cocktail Gardening” class explores flora and fauna of fresh-from-the-garden cocktails, and personal chef instruction is now available for small groups or individuals.

Once comfort, food, and drink calm your body, settle your mind with modern meditation classes ranging from “Musical Mediation” to “Floating Relaxation” to “Nature Walking Meditations.” For complete balance, the seasonal BREATHE offers week-long opportunities to unplug from the world and discover your own new beginning.
