South Austin health-nuts from
Sendera to
Village at Western Oaks can’t wait for the June 19
th grand opening of Whole Foods Market® (WFM) at the Arbor Trails. The new location, a mere walk across the parking lot for local Costco shoppers, is just south of the intersection of MoPac (Loop 1) and William Cannon.
“We’re ecstatic,” says
Belterra resident Megan B. “Our family depends on Whole Foods for a variety of gluten-free and other hard-to-find specialty items, and the drive through Downtown Austin condo traffic to the Lamar location was just killing us.”

The grand opening of this new Austin location, just minutes away for
Olympic Heights and
Circle C residents, comes only a few weeks after the May 16
th grand opening in the Hill Country Galleria. Both stores “will be about 35,000 square feet in size and will each employ 150 to 200 Team Members,” the company stated in a press release.
It’s no wonder WFM is number twenty-eight on FORTUNE’s ‘Most Admired Companies’ list – the new location already bears a beating heart. During the first five days of its opening, the store will donate 1% of total sales to five Austin non-profits.

“Whole Foods Market is a company with a conscience and we believe passionately in supporting the communities we serve,” said Rebecca Scofield, local media and community relations coordinator for WFM.
A gushing Facebook post mentions one of the Austin non-profits honored by the new grocery store. “[We are] so excited for our grand opening community giving day recipient - the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center! We can't wait to join this awesome southwest Austin community! Who's going to be there when the doors open on June 19?!”
Welcome to Southwest Austin, WFM. Thanks for all you do!
