ROAD CLOSURES: 3M MARATHON & RELAY JANUARY 29TH, 2012
On Sunday morning, January 29th, 2012 six thousand runners will participate in the annual 3M Half Marathon and Relay in beautiful Austin, Texas. The 13.1 mile race starts at 6:40 a.m. on Stonelake Blvd. in Northwest Austin, and ends at 12:30 p.m. in Downtown Austin. Since 1995, 3M Half Marathon has funded Austin organizations that focus on community-involved education. Communities In Schools is part of a national dropout prevention network serving more than 50 campuses in five school districts in Central Texas. “For nearly 20 years, the 3M Half Marathon & Relay has contributed funds to assist locally-driven programs that work to educate youth and their families in the Austin community,” says Matt Fagan, the race director. “Communities In Schools is an example of this commitment, and we are excited that 2012 race participants will be running, in part, to support this powerful and life-changing organization.” Trying to find your way around the January 29th 3M Half Marathon & Relay race course?
