About the Lake Austin Community
While there are many desirable, in-demand luxury home areas in Austin, Lake Austin is perhaps the most prestigious. Whether they are impeccably remodeled “lake houses” or exquisitely built newer construction homes, properties along the shores and hills of Lake Austin are gifted with proximity to the segment of the Colorado River known as Lake Austin. Prized for its year-round, constant water level, the lake is popular with nature and water sports enthusiasts, in addition to homeowners. Lake Austin stretches approximately 20 miles, from Tom Miller Dam, just west of MoPac, to Mansfield Dam in far west Austin. Water in the lake can reach depths of 75 feet.
